Pako Web Browser
Pako is Nepal’s first lightweight, privacy-focused web browser, built by Niguro with useful tools designed specifically for Nepali users.
App Details
Built to be lightweight, Pako uses the Chromium engine already available on your PC, helping keep the download small and reducing unnecessary memory usage. Its memory-saving features help background tabs consume fewer system resources, making it suitable for everyday computers.
Privacy is built into Pako by default. Users can control ad and tracker blocking, browse privately using a separate temporary incognito profile, and keep their browsing data on their own device.
Pako also brings Nepal closer to the browser experience. It includes an offline Bikram Sambat calendar, AD-to-BS and BS-to-AD date conversion, festival countdowns, Nepali-focused shortcuts and access to Niguro services. The new tab page combines Niguro search, personal shortcuts, wallpapers and useful information without sponsored clutter.
With customizable themes, accent colours, search engines and privacy settings, Pako gives users control over how their browser looks and works.
Pako is currently an early testing release and is actively being developed with community feedback. The goal is simple: build a fast, private and genuinely useful browser made in Nepal for everyone.
